My Dog
Chelsea Dagger. Born in June 2015. I was 14 years old when I first got Chelsea, My mom, dad, brother and I were going to the store to get food for my dads dogs Bella and Carmella. It was pet adoption weekend and of course my mom gave us the whole "we just got a new house, we are NOT getting a dog so don't even ask, don't fall in love, don't even LOOK at the dogs". My brother and I got upset about it but we listened and went to the dog collar section to look for Halloween collars for Bella and Carmella, we were sitting on the ground looking at the wide selection when we heard "STOP THAT DOG". My brother and I gave each other a "what the heck" kind of look. We then see this small blonde dog running past the aisle and 4 employees running right behind the dog. The dog then takes a 360 and runs down the aisle my brother and I were in and jumps straight into my arms, tackling me straight into the ground, licking my face and wiggling. I immediately fell in love with her big brown eyes I picked her up and ran straight to my mother screaming "PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE we need her! SHE CHOSE ME". My mom was skeptical at first but after not much convincing she signed the paper work and we brought the dog with no name home. She was about 3 months old at the time but the biggest bundle of energy. It took us a few days to figure out her name. Until one night we were watching the Chicago Blackhawks game and their goal song came on. Chelsea Dagger by the Fratellis. The dog started freaking out and barking at the TV, when then decided to name her Chelsea D after the song.
I officially adopted the dog for myself in 2018. Chelsea is my absolute best friend so I knew when my mom moved I couldn't let her take my best friend with her so I formally adopted her for myself and we have been together ever since. She has been there for me through thick and thin and I truly wouldn't change that for the world.
